Mr. Roger Neal Rowland, age 73 of Van Buren County, passed away Friday, October 20, 2023 at St. Thomas West Hospital after a brief illness.

Roger was born March 17, 1950 to the late Tommie W. and Kitty Deltrice Kirby Rowland. He retired as a truck driver for Cumberland Lumber Company with over 40 years of service. Roger loved classic cars, especially Ford Mustangs. His favorite was his 1985 Mustang that was known as "Roger's Pony". Roger is loved and will be missed by many especially his fur baby companion, Rocky.

In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by his wife Sandra Jean Randolph Rowland who died April 5, 2016; daughter Jamie Rowland Pylant; paternal grandparents, Will D. and Mary L. Rowland; maternal grandparents, Paul Lewis and Audie Mae Vaughn Kirby.

Graveside services will be conducted 12:00pm Tuesday, October 24, 2023 at McElroy Cemetery in Van Buren County. The family will receive friends from 10:00am until departure for the cemetery at 11:30am Tuesday at Hunter Funeral Home. Doug Goff will officiate.
