Rowena Tackett Lowry age 85, born in Sparta TN, Feb. 29, 1936, passed peacefully in her sleep at The Medical Center in Bowling Green KY on December 11, 2021.

She was a very special person, Daughter, Sister, Wife (Charlie Sherrell & Bob Lowry), Aunt, Friend, Companion and Caregiver (Clarence Puckett).  She was a woman of strong faith and she shared it and her beautiful smile with everyone in her presence.  She lived a good life no matter the circumstance and she was always there for her family and friends.  Rowena will be deeply missed by us all.

Surviving family members: Johnny Tackett (Brother, Miamisburg OH); David Lee (Nephew, Cookeville TN); Verletta Lee (Niece-in-law and Roommate, Bowling Green, KY) and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Preceded in death by: Parents, David and Jo Mae Crawford Tackett (Sparta, TN); Brothers: Herbert Tackett, David Tackett Jr., Buster Tackett; Sisters: Bertha, Maggie, Ruby, Mildred, Jessie; Nephew: Charles Lee, Ricky Tackett, Wayne Dobbs, Jo Dennis Dobbs; Niece: Virginia Wilkerson, Fran George; Great Nephew: Ricky Lee, Russell Lee; Great Niece, Shelia Burris; Great Great Nephew: Landon Kernea; Great Great Niece: Kaydence A.

She will be honored and remembered on Saturday, December 18, 2021 at 1:00 pm at Hunter Funeral Home, 120 East Bockman Way, Sparta TN  38583, 931-836-3211.

Visitation 10am until Service time, with burial in Old Zion Cemetery.
