Mrs. Rozell Robinson Briggs, age 84 of Sparta, passed away Sunday, September 22, 2024 at Signature of Putnam County.

Rozell was born June 12, 1940 in the Johnson's Chapel Community of Dekalb County to the late William Savage "Bill" and Mae Luna Robinson. She retired from Mallory. Rozell was very involved with her family, keeping up with everyone with frequent phone calls and visits. She was a member of Plainview Freewill Baptist Church and attended Life Church Livingston later in life. She loved to spend her afternoons and evenings watching games shows, especially Wheel of Fortune and Family Feud.

In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her husband Walter Briggs who died November 10, 2020; siblings Gene Robinson, Hebron Robinson, David Robinson, Doug Robinson and Ruby Holman.

Rozell is lovingly survived by her

Son: Steve (Vickie) Winstead

Sister: Thelma (Guan) Spears

Grandchildren: Rachael (Logan) Ramsey, Jacob Allred, Emily Allred

Great-grandchildren: Nathan Ramsey, Emma Ramsey, Ezra Allred, Ryder Allred

A host of nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be conducted 11am Wednesday, September 25, 2024 in the Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home with burial in Johnson's Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4pm - 7pm on Tuesday at Hunter Funeral Home. Josh Coffman will officiate.

Jay Coffman, Jacob Allred, Logan Ramsey, Jamie Spears, Michael Spears and Jeff Spears will serve the family as pallbearers.
