Ms. Ruby Louise Bryant Roberts age 76 of Sparta, passed away at 7:43pm on Monday, April 19, 2021 at St. Thomas Highlands Hospital a day after celebrating her 76 ^th birthday.

Ruby was born April 18, 1945 in Bone Cave, Tennessee to the late Bertrum Walker Bryant and Delma Ollie Cole Bryant.  She was a retired secretary of Findlay Elementary School, as well as a long-time Wal-Mart employee. Ruby took great pride in her yard and working with her flowers. She enjoyed taking neighborhood walks and push mowing her yard, but her proudest time was spent with her family. Ruby was a member of Sparta First Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by siblings, Walker Bryant, Jr., Wilba Roberts, Polly Delon, Billy Bryant and Sandra Simmons.

Surviving family members include her two daughters Sherri Roberts Vanatta of Hendersonville, TN, Lisa Johnson-Newby and husband Ken of Sparta

Son: Gerald Roberts, Jr. and wife Crissi of Sparta

Grandchildren: Rachel Vanatta, Sydney Vanatta, Robbie Johnson, Shelby Robbins and husband Hyle, Taylor Roberts, Haley Roberts and Lexi Roberts

Brothers: Paul Byrant and wife Ruth Ann of McMinnville, Truman Bryant, Lynn Bryant and wife Beverly all of Bone Cave

Sister: Betty Yates of McMinnville

Four legged companion: Chi Chi

A host of nieces and nephews also survive

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00pm Sunday, April 25, 2021 from the Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home with burial in Laurel Creek Cemetery Baptist Church Cemetery in the Bone Cave Community. The family will receive friends Saturday from 4-8:00pm and Sunday after 11:00am at Hunter Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.

Keith Delon, Mark Frasier, David Pinion, Joe Pat Cope, Robbie Johnson and Hyle Robbins will serve the family as pallbearers
