Obituary

Mrs. Ruth M. Lee of Sparta, Tennessee passed away Saturday, June 12, 2021 at the age of 85. She was the daughter of late Lee and Sadie Maxwell of West Virginia. She was born in Raleigh County in a mining town around Beckley, West Virginia on May 16, 1936.

She worked as a certified nurse technician in Geneva, Ohio for 9 years then worked at NHC of Sparta for 25 years until she retired. She was a wonderful mother and caring grandmother.

In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by husbands Ray C. Malcolm of Geneva, Ohio and Jerry Lee of Doyle, Tennessee; sisters Betty Betchel and Janice Crawford; brother Everett Maxwell; son Darrell Malcolm and daughter Debbie Seibers.

Surviving family members include her sister Joy (Mason) Prater of McMinnville, TN

Son: Clayton (Uvana) Malcolm of Indiana

Daughter: Robin Malcolm of Sparta

Grandchildren: Freddie, Danny (Nicole) and David Malcolm of Illinois, Jullian (Thao) Marshall of Texas and Milton Marshall of Michigan, Tanya Broad and Rachel (Kris) Jenkins of Tennessee, Sarah (Earl Clausson) Malcolm and Robert (Sheryl Berman) Malcolm of Ohio, Matthew (Madi) Williams of Indiana, Laura (Trayvon) West of Tennessee, Dillard (Tori) Dodson and Rachelle (Zach) Palmer of Tennessee

Great-grandchildren: Ryan and Lillie Malcolm, Summer Marshall, Lenora Berman, Chelsie (Steven) Sherrill, Andrea Hudgens, Kylan Young, Whitley Filler, Koda and Kryri RuthAnna "Her Puppies" Jenkins, Isaac Palmer, Bentlee Phillips

Great-great-grandchildren: Isaac Miller, JR and Ezekiel Sherrill

Her special 4 legged companion: Shelton

Other people near and dear to her heart: Sherry, Emily, Brynlee Ruthanne and Corey, Cheyenne, Dawson, Cameron, Gary, Cameron H. and Ronnie, their children were her special babies

Caregivers: Rachel, Andrea, Kris, Sherry and Robin

A memorial service will be conducted 5:00pm Tuesday, June 15, 2021 at Lighthouse Church. Thomas McCulley will officiate. Honorary pallbearers are Cameron H., Dillard, Everette and Trayvon. There will no visitation prior to the service
