Ms. Sharon Annette Burton, age 62 of Sparta, passed away at 4:25am Thursday, November 4, 2021 at St. Thomas West Hospital after a brief illness.

Sharon was born July 14, 1959 in Sparta, Tennessee to the late Monroe Sevier & Evelyn Richmond Burton. She was a former employee of Mallory and LTD. Her proudest accomplishment was being Grandma Sharon to grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a sister Barbara "Lucy" Price; brother Norman Dewayne Burton who passed away on May 23, 2021.

Survivors include her son J.R. Drake and Mindy Patrick of Rock Island

Grandchildren: Karigan and Madden

Sister: Melody Burton of McMinnville

Nieces: Brandicah Wright of McMinnville and Kendra Wright of Nashville

Nephew: Willis Price of Sparta

Uncle: Robert Burton and wife Barbara of Sparta

The Burton family has entrusted Hunter Funeral Home with Sharon's cremation and a memorial service will be conducted 1:00pm Saturday, November 13, 2021 at Oakwood Street Church of Christ. The family will receive friends from noon until 1:00pm Saturday at the Church. Pastor Erman Williams will officiate. Repast will follow after the services at the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Oakwood Street Church of Christ.
