Mrs. Sherry Evon Davis Goines, age 58 of Sparta, a native of LaFollette, Tennessee, passed away Wednesday, September 22, 2021 at St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital from complications of Covid-19.

Sherry was born January 19, 1963 in LaFollette, Tennessee to the late Dainter and Janice Easteridge Davis. She was a homemaker. She enjoyed listening to music and appointment television programs were The Voice and The Walking Dead. She liked going for car rides in the country but her most favorite time was spent with her beloved grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her husband Charles C. Goines who died January 21, 2019; son Gregory Goines; sister Penny Davis.

Surviving family members left to cherish her memory include her three daughters Stephanie Knowles,  Jackie Goines, and Jennifer Goines all of Sparta

Six grandchildren:  Justin, Charity, Kaci, Nathaniel, Hannah, and Lizzy

Sisters: Patricia Davis of Lakeland, Florida and Dana "Pumpkin" Hoskins of LaFollette

Brothers: Tony (Mitzi) Davis, Jimmy Davis, Richard Davis, Donnie Davis all of LaFollette

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00pm Sunday, September 26, 2021 from the Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home with burial in Lower Cherry Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday from noon until 2:00pm at Hunter Funeral Home.
