Mrs. Sherry Marie Perkins Watson, age 61 of Sparta, passed away on Sunday, July 5, 2026 in the emergency room of St. Thomas Highlands Hospital in Sparta.

Sherry was born April 19, 1965 in Grosse Pointe, Michigan. She will fondly be remembered for making her delicious chocolate candies and her love of the beach, especially while enjoying the sunrise with a cup of coffee. However, everything in life was secondary to the love Sherry had for her family. She cherished spending time with each family member, especially those that knew her as Mammaw.

Sherry is lovingly survived by her husband of 30 years Dan Watson

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00pm Wednesday, July 8, 2026 from the Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home with burial in Mt. Gilead Cemetery. The family will receive friends after 12:00pm Wednesday at Hunter Funeral Home. Perry Clayton will officiate.

Hunter Menser, Justin Daniels, Randy Perkins, Christopher White, Tommy Clayton and Tim Clayton will serve as pallbearers.
