Shirley Ann Harris, age 90 of Maryville, Tennessee, passed away at 3:00pm Thursday, February 24, 2022 at St. Thomas Highlands Hospital in Sparta, Tennessee.

Shirley was born August 26, 1931 in St. Louis, Missouri to the late Clifford and Helen Copp Beck. She attended schools in Lincoln, Illinois. She had a work career that spanned from Optician offices to retiring from the perfume counter at Macy's Department Store in Morrow, Georgia. Her spark and love of life drew people in; she'd start conversations with whomever crossed her path. Shirley enjoyed animals, jigsaw puzzles, travel and casinos.

In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her son Michael Wayne Harris; step-father, Oscar Blackford; companion David C. Lamb. Tinsel, Shirley's beloved poodle who gave her years of enjoyment also preceded her in death.

Shirley leaves daughters Carole Ann Clouse of Noank, CT and Linda Louise (Delmar) Holt of Maryville, TN

Three grandchildren: Troy M. Bree, Heather S. Norris and Aaron N. Norris all of Groton, CT

Great-grandchildren: Niko J. (Shareah) Bree of Uncasville, CT.; Rishard A. (Carleen) Dixon of Mt. Prospect, IL., Cheyenah L. Balli of Groton, CT. and Olivia L. Kolakowski

Father of her children James Harris, Jr. of Gravois Mills, Missouri also survives
