Ms. Shirley Temples Ricks, age 82 of Sparta, passed away Wednesday, May 20, 2026 at NHC Sparta.

Shirley was born March 31,1944 in Balm, Florida to the late Albert Daniel and Florence Elizabeth Eldridge Temples. In addition to her parents, Shirley is preceded in death by her son Clinton; sisters Betty, Mary Evelyn; brothers Bill, George Albert.

The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the entire staffs of NHC Sparta and Caris Healthcare, as well as Hunter Funeral Home, for their special care of Shirley.

Shirley is lovingly survived by

Daughters: Renee (Jeff) and Sonja (Rodney)

Son: Jeffery (Susan)

5 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews

Shirley will be laid to rest beside her parents at Evergreen Cemetery in Davenport, Florida.
