Mrs. Shirley Maxine Margeson Young Riddle, age 70 of Baxter, formerly of Sparta, passed away Saturday, August 23, 2025 at her residence surrounded by her loving family.

Shirley was born July 13, 1955 in Sparta, Tennessee to the late Willie Martin and Myrtle Frances Young Margeson. She was a former shirt factory worker. Her greatest joy was being Granny to her grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by husbands David Young and Johnny Riddle; sisters Brenda Brady and Lily Henry; brother Freddie Lynn Margeson and nephew Gage Youngblood.

Surviving family members left to cherish her memory include her daughter Christel Bohannon and husband Eddie

Grandchildren: Quinn Bohannon and Jeffery Wade

Step-grandchild: Shea Nelson

Great-granddaughter: Eclipsen Nelson

Two sisters: Angela Douglas , Michelle Youngblood and husband Carl

Three brothers: J.T. Margeson, Jerry Margeson and Stanley Margeson

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00pm Tuesday, August 26, 2025 at Hensley Chapel Baptist Church with burial in Young Cemetery. The family will receive friends after 4:00pm Monday at the church. Kip Simar will officiate.

Donald Sparks, Jr., Jonathan Sparks, Jason Margeson, Frankie Young, Thomas Margeson and Carl Youngblood will serve as pallbearers
