Longtime minister, Mrs. Teresa Ann McCormick age 65 of Sparta, passed away at 7:19pm on Monday, November 10, 2025 at St. Thomas Highlands Hospital.

Teresa was born February 24, 1960 in Sparta, Tennessee. She went in to the ministry at the age of 16 and has served the Lord faithfully ever since. Her work as a pastor included many mission trips in the United States as well as over seas. She had a special calling with jail and prison ministry.  Teresa enjoyed the outdoors and had a love for all four seasons, especially the summer months. In addition to all of the lives she touched in ministry she was most proud of the people that knew her as Granny.  Teresa is preceded in death by her parents, Daisy Mae and Donald Reeves and Chester Nation.

Survivors include her husband of 25 years Donald McCormick

Two daughters: NaShawn Miller and husband Shelby, Miranda Brown

Grandchildren: Courtney Boggs and husband Caleb, Anna Brown and Levi Brown

Great-grandchildren: Elena Mae Boggs and Jeremiah Boggs

Brother: Randy Nation

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00pm Friday, November 14, 2025 from the Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home with burial in Oak Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends after 11:00am Friday at Hunter Funeral Home. Ronnie Taylor will officiate.

Levi Brown, Shelby Miller, Keith Brown, Keith McCormick and Randy Nation will serve as pallbearers.
