Terry Lynn Kirby

Mr. Terry Lynn Kirby, age 65 of Sparta, passed away Thursday, August 13, 2026 at NHC Sparta.

Terry was born January 28, 1961 in Sparta, Tennessee to the late Elmer R. and Willie Dorothy Stoglin Kirby. Terry was a saw mill and farm worker. He was an avid fisherman, evident by the hook he wore on his cap. On Saturdays in the fall, he cheered on the University of Tennessee and his Sundays were devoted to NASCAR.

In addition to his parents, Terry is also preceded in death by brothers, James Edward Kirby, Jeff Kirby and Randal Keith Kirby, Sr.; sisters Shirley Kirby who died March 27, 2026 and Betty Kirby; brother-in-law Chuck Frasier.

Surviving family members include his son Jason Kirby

Daughter: Morgan Kirby

Grandchildren: Aaliyah Kirby, Cameron Kirby and Kiah Kirby

Three great-grandchildren

Sisters: Becky Frasier, Karla Kirby and Jamie Kirby

Brother: David Kirby

Graveside services will be conducted 10:00am Saturday, August 15, 2026 at Rice Cemetery. There will be no visitation prior to the service. Thomas McCulley will officiate.
