Mr. Terry Alan Selby age 63 of Sparta, went to be with the Lord at 7:00am on Tuesday, January 19, 2021 at his residence.

Terry was born August 22, 1957 in Sparta, Tennessee to the late Norman Burl & Clara Marie Higgenbottom Selby. He owned his own excavation company and operated heavy equipment all of his life. Terry was a car enthusiast. He enjoyed and competed in drag racing, passing that love for cars and racing on to his two sons. As much as he loved cars and sports, his real love was spoiling his two grandsons. Terry attended East Sparta Church of God. In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by his brother LaVaughn Selby and wife Teresa Broom Selby. The family is taking comfort in knowing that he is reunited in heaven with his wife Teresa one day before what would have been her 62 ^nd birthday.

Surviving family members include his two sons Trent (Brittany) Selby and Tyler (Amanda) Selby

Mother-in-law: Ieda Broom

Sister-in-law: Barbara Selby

Nieces: Kim (Karl) Sherrell and Michelle (Lloyd) Williams

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00pm Saturday, January 23, 2021 from the Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home with burial in Stringtown Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday from 4-8:00pm at Hunter Funeral Home. Charles Dotson will officiate.

J.T. Letulle, Brian Hodges, LeRoy Peck, Jimmy Regas, Karl Sherrell and LLoyd Williams will serve the family as pallbearers.

In consideration of the health and safety of family and friends, the family respectfully asks that guests visiting the funeral home please wear a mask and adhere to social distancing guildelines.

The register book will be available after 9:00am Thursday in the Parlor of Hunter Funeral Home for friends not comfortable being in a crowd.
