Mrs. Thelma Lee Holt Lassiter, age 88 of Sparta, passed away at 9:02pm Thursday, October 20, 2022 surrounded by family at NHC of Sparta.

Mrs. Lassiter was born in the Holler Springs Community of Cannon County on October 27, 1933 to the late Elvin Holt, Sr. and Connie Mae Williams Holt. She was a homemaker and a member of Central Church of Christ. She loved photos, especially photos of her family. In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her husband Bill Payton Lassiter who died June 15, 1999; grandson Matthew David Miller and brother Elvin Holt, Jr.

Surviving family members left to cherish her memory include her three daughters Elaine Thweatt, Paytina (David) Miller and Tammy (Robert) Sims

Grandchildren: Leigh Ann (Mike) Lynn, Payton (Brandi) Sims and Jessica Wheeler

Great-grandchildren: Blake Lynn, Zack Lynn, Arie Ross Wheeler, Hadley Sims, Keegan Sims, Aiden Wheeler and Liliana Wheeler

Great-great-grandchild: Mac Harrison Lynn

Sister: Geneva Denny

Graveside services will be conducted 11:00am Monday, October 24, 2022 at Oak Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday from 4-7:00pm at Hunter Funeral Home. Doug Benningfield will officiate.

Payton Sims, Mike Lynn, David Miller, Robert Sims, Blake Lynn, Zack Lynn and Arie Ross Wheeler will serve as pallbearers.
