Mrs. Thelma June Nash Prater, age 89 Sparta, passed away at 12:12am on Monday, April 21, 2025 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center.

Thelma was born June 18, 1935 in Dekalb County to the late Bryce and Anna Lee Cole Nash. She was a retired shirt factory worker with service to the Sparta Shirt Factory and to Caldwell's Shirt Factory.

In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her husband of 56 years Horace Prater who died July 25, 2024; son Billy Wayne Dulin who died December 24, 2024; siblings and their spouses, JC and Evelyn Nash, Arby and Barbara Nash, Donald and Carol Nash.

Survivors include her son Mike Prater of Sparta

Grandchildren: Michelle (John) Ward, Kayla (Matthew) Turner and Michael Prater all of Sparta, Lisa (David) Kazel of Crofton, KY, Heather (Eric) Joiner of Hopkinsville, KY

Great-granchildren: Khloe, Kassie, Melodee, Axel,Kaitlyn, Lucus, Lila, Brittan, Nathan and Bret

Sister: Waulene Patton and husband Roy

In honor of Thelma's wishes, Hunter Funeral Home has been entrusted with her cremation and no public services are planned.
