Mr. Thomas Elmer Varnadore, Jr. affectionately known by family and friends as Buddy, age 68 of Sparta, passed away at 3:41am on July 27, 2021 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center.

Buddy was born August 1, 1952 in Stuart, Florida to the late Thomas Elmer Varnadore, Sr. and Valley Mae Rodenberry Varnadore. His work career began in south Florida as a commercial fisherman for many years. He then spent 27 years as a truck driver and after retirement has been a familiar face as an attendant at the Rock House Convenience Center.

Surviving family members left to cherish his memory include his wife of 50 years Helen Varnadore

Daughter: Melissa Lynn Parks

Grandson: Daniel Parks

Granddaughter: Kyndall Blackenship

Sisters: Tommie, Barbie, Sally and Sara

Mother-in-law: Mary E. Davis

Sisters-in-law: Shirley and Michelle

Brothers-in-law: Charles, Clif and Luther

A host of extended family and friends also survive

Memorial services will be conducted 11:00am Monday, August 2, 2021 from the Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home. The family will receive friends after 10:00am Monday at Hunter Funeral Home. Dewey Young will officiate.
