Thomas Ervin Knowles, age 78 of Quebeck passed away Sunday, August 24, 2025 at the Speciality Select Hospital in Nashville.  He was born July 31, 1947 in Sparta to the late Ernest Alex Knowles and Delma Gertrude Cunningham Knowles.  He was also preceded in death by his wife: Bonita Knowles, sisters: Betty Barnes, Marie Clark, and Anne Graham.

He was drafted in the US Army in 1968 and served in the Vietnam War.  He loved Dirt Track Racing and demolition derbys. He enjoyed to fish, but never caught anything.  He was the Best Pop's. He liked to get something to eat and then park at Floyds CB parking lot.

He is survived by his son:  Ernest Ray Knowles

along with several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service will be held Friday, August 29, 2025 at 10:00 am in the Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home with burial in the Old Zion Cemetery with military honors.

The family will receive friends from 5 pm until 8pm on Thursday evening.  Bro. Dewey Young will officiate the services.

Pallbearers will be Jesse Benson, Jason Wilson, Tyler Martin, Austin Davenport, Chris Clark, John Michael Bumbalough, J.D. Pollard, and Derek Barrett.
