Timothy "Timmy" Brian Young, born February 15, 1968, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, May 20 following a brief illness. His departure leaves a space that can never be filled, but his memory remains a steady light in the lives of all who knew him.

Timmy was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Pauline Young; and by his brothers John (Joyce) Young and Kerry (Ivie) Young.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Gail Young, and his children Kayla Young, Bubba (Heavenly) Young, and Tiffany (Dustin) Johnson, & Josh Caldwell who will forever carry his strength, humor, and love in their hearts.

He was the proud Pa of Addison, Sophia, Alliana, Aiden, Eleanor, and Maverick — each one a source of joy, comfort, and light in his life. Being their Pa was one of his greatest blessings, and he loved them all deeply and unconditionally.

Timmy is also survived by his brothers Buster (Patty) Young and Roger (Fran) Young; his sisters Peggy Robbins and Bethene Cunningham; and by a large extended family of nieces, nephews, and cousins who cherished him deeply.

To know Timmy was to love him. He had a gift for fixing anything placed in front of him — not just machines, but moments, moods, and the lives of the people around him. A talented mechanic and an even better friend, he was the one you called when something broke, when hay needed hauling, or when life simply felt too heavy to carry alone. He always showed up, and he always showed up with heart.

He found peace on the water, fishing with his family and soaking in the quiet joy of a day spent on a boat. Those who shared those moments with him will forever treasure the memory of his easy smile, his steady presence, and the way he made even the simplest days feel like blessings.

Timmy's life was defined by generosity, loyalty, and love — the kind that asked for nothing in return. His hands were strong, his spirit was gentle, and his heart was steadfast. He leaves behind a family who adored him and a community who will feel his absence for years to come.

May his memory be a comfort, and may the love he gave continue to guide those he leaves behind.

Funeral services will be conducted 1pm Friday, May 22, 2026 from the Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home with burial in Young Cemetery. The family will receive friends after 9am Friday at Hunter Funeral Home. Don Shuster will officiate.

Matthew Cunningham, Johnny Young, Carlos Young, Jesse Young, PeeWee Young and Joey Young will serve the family as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearer is Bubba Young.
