Tucker was a Son, Brother, Grandson, Cousin, Friend

Tucker Hodge, 35, of Sparta, Tennessee, passed away in the community where he spent his entire life—the Spring Hill/Plum Creek area of White County. Born on May 4, 1990, Tucker's life was a testament to the bonds of family, friendship, and connection to the place he called home.

Tucker was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Tom and Opal Jernigan Hodge; his maternal grandfather, Thomas "Sonny" Brewington; uncles Lewis Copeland and Glenn Brewington; Cousin Jackie Lynn Hodge; and lifelong friend, Kelton Holloway. Though they are gone, they made a lasting impact on Tucker's life. —and the love they shared—lives on in the hearts of those who survive him.

He is survived by his devoted parents, Tommy and Marsha Brewington Hodge; his beloved sister, Savannah Hodge (Ethan Gunter); and his cherished maternal grandmother, Joyce Ann Robinson Brewington. Tucker was loved by a host of aunts and uncles including Jack (Frances) Hodge, Terry (Tiffany) Brewington, Beverly Hodge Copeland, Carol (Mike) Wilson, and Connie Presley. Tucker's memory will live on in the hearts of those who survive him, including numerous cousins, special friends, and two constant companions—his fur babies, Bughuul (Bug) and Kemosobe (Kemo).

Tucker will be remembered for his generous heart, his unwavering commitment to helping others, and his deep-rooted sense of family and loyalty. He was the kind of friend whose loyalty never wavered—a constant presence in good times and bad. As a son and brother, he loved fiercely and unconditionally, always placing the needs of his loved ones above his own. His legacy is one of kindness, strength, and a devotion that touched everyone fortunate enough to know him.

Tucker loved to garden, can the fruits of his labor, and cook. He was an excellent cook; it was his love language. Tucker worked hard and always tried to please others.

Tucker touched the lives of many who now mourn his passing. and celebrate the gift of having known him.

Funeral services will be conducted 6:00pm Tuesday, July 29, 2025 from the Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home. The family will receive friends after 3:00pm Tuesday at Hunter Funeral Home. Doug Benningfield will officiate. In honor of Tucker's wishes, he will be cremated following his funeral service.
