Mr. Ulysses Grant Culley, Jr., age 69 of Sparta, passed away at 10:09pm Sunday, July 31, 2022 at Vivant Healthcare in Murfreesboro, Tennessee.

Grant was born November 12, 1952 in Sparta, Tennessee to the late Ulysses Grant Culley, Sr. and Jessie Mae Webb Culley. He was a long time custodian at Ben Lomand Telephone and most recently White County High School. He was an avid University of Alabama football fan and loved playing football and softball in his younger years. Grant enjoyed Sunday afternoon drives with his friends.

Survivors include his companion of 39 years Elaine Allen

Daughter: Natasha (Charlie) Jones

Grandchildren: Kingston, Elizabeth and Evelyn Jones

Sisters: Susie Robinson and Debra Brewington

Brothers: Jeffery "Shotgun" Culley, Toby Culley and David Wayne (Carolyn) Culley

A host of nieces and nephews also survive

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00pm Thursday, August 4, 2022 from the Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home with burial in Oak Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends after 11:00am Thursday at Hunter Funeral Home. Ronnie Taylor will officiate.

Jeff Lowery, Tony Strode, Tyree Culley, Lynn Brewington, Chris Brewington and Steve Dodson will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are Tyler Lowery, Cody Lowery and Charlie Jones
