Ms. Virgie Ella Stults, age 87 of Sparta, passed away at 8:33am on Tuesday, March 17, 2026 at NHC of Sparta.

Virgie was born April 15, 1938 in Scott's Gulf to the late Clarence Ray and Linnie Mary Scott Stults. She worked a variety of jobs - serving as a probation officer as her most rewarding. She enjoyed playing basketball in her youth, as a child in Yankeetown all the way through her teenage years as a member of the White County Warriorette basketball team in high school. Later in life, she enjoyed working with ceramics, playing golf, and was an avid reader who was a regular visitor to the White County Public Library. Virgie also loved to study genealogy and her heritage of Scott's Gulf. More than anything, she loved being Mamaw of five generations of her family.

In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by brothers Waymon, Arlin and Perry Stults.

Surviving family members left to cherish her memory include her two sons, Bruce Null and wife Delicia, Alan Null and wife DeJuan

Grandchildren: Scott (Tammie) Null, Kerri (Morgan) West, Andrew Nabors, Alexandria (Dakota) Martin, Aizik Nabors, Eric (Lilly) Null, Mark (Stephanie) Null

Great-grandchildren: Shyanna Null, Karsyn West, Rylee West, Madisyn Null, Elly Null, Troy Null and Denys Martin

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00pm Saturday, March 21, 2026 from the Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home with burial in Highland Cemetery. The family will receive friends after 10:00am Saturday at Hunter Funeral Home. Jeff Turner will officiate.

Scott Null, Morgan West, Dakota Martin, Aizik Nabors, Andrew Nabors and Jerry Wallace will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are Denys Martin and Roper Null
