Virginia Susan Runnion, age 77 of Hillcrest Hills on Center Hill Lake, Tennessee, passed away
on September 29, 2024. Born in Lenoir, North Carolina on September 25, 1947, Family was the
cornerstone of Susan's life.

She is survived by her loving spouse of 58 years, Harry Edward

Susan was a pillar of support and enthusiasm for her family and friends, especially evident in
her love for sports. As the biggest fan of her children's and grandchildren's sports endeavors,
she never missed a chance to cheer them on from the stands, no matter the weather. Her
passion extended to her lifelong love of ECU Pirates Football and the Tennessee Titans. Susan
loved her Hillcrest Hills community and Center Hill Lake and she was always sure to be the life
of the gathering.

Susan attended East Carolina University. She spent her career as the Customer Service
Manager during her decades working for ABCO, which became NDC, a medical supply
distribution business, based in Nashville, TN. Susan's passion for taking care of people spread
to dozens of employees she hired, trained and interacted with. Her leadership made that
customer service department the "Crown Jewel" of the whole company. Her voice and calm
manner was the key to success for thousands of customers who trusted that Susan and her
team would make things right… no matter what. Company owners and executives had full
confidence that she had things under control - even emergencies. Susan was a true hero
"behind the scenes" helping people in all aspects of business. Her big smile, sense of humor
and caring personality made work fun. Susan lived the definition of customer service.
