Ms. Wanda Faye Blackwell Troglen, age 77 of Sparta, passed away Sunday, August 17, 2025 at her residence.

Wanda was born May 5, 1948 in Sparta, Tennessee. She was one of the eleven children born to the late William Carson and Jessie Estelle Griffin Blackwell. Wanda retired as a housekeeper for the White County Hospital. She enjoyed her retirement years watching Gunsmoke and her other favorite westerns. However, her greatest joy was being a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister.

In addition to her parents, Wanda is also preceded in death by infant twin sisters Jeanette and Joann Blackwell; sister Eva Nell Graham; brothers Billy and Harold Blackwell.

Surviving family members left to cherish her memory include her son Shawn (Donna) Troglen

Granddaughter: Tori (Dawson) Sapp

Great-granddaughter: Ansin Sapp

Three sisters: Janice (Willie) Miller, Inetta (Ron) Taylor and Brenda (Scott) Fullerton

Two brothers: Waymon (Linda) Blackwell and Jerry (Charlene) Blackwell

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00pm Wednesday, August 20, 2025 from the Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home with burial in Plainview Cemetery in the Cassville Community. The family will receive friends after 11:00am Wednesday at Hunter Funeral Home. Gary McBride will officiate.

Ron Taylor, Jerry Blackwell, Jason Miller, Dawson Sapp and Scott Fullerton will serve the family as pallbearers.
