Wilma Lela Gooch Cantrell of Walling, Tennessee, 89, passed away February 23, 2026, at NHC, Sparta, TN. She retired from Red Kap Industries, where she was a quality control supervisor and a retired farmer.  Wilma was the youngest child and the last living child of Birtie Everette "B. E." Gooch and Effie May Cope Gooch to pass away.

She was predeceased by her parents, Birtie Everette "B. E." Gooch and Effie May Cope Gooch, her husband, Harold Loraine Cantrell of 65 years marriage, her children Jeffery, Micheal, Craig, Lorie and her grandson, Matthew. She was also predeceased by her brothers:  Freeman Russell Gooch & his wife Birdie Ellen Swindell Gooch, William Everett Gooch and Fred Gooch and his wife Simone; sisters, infant Rose Gooch and Ila Fisher.

She is survived by her:

Son: Ralph Cantrell and wife Peggy

Grandsons: Nick Cantrell (Tiffany), Jeff Cantrell, John Dunn (Kristin)

Great-grandchildren: Audrey, Cadence, Emily, Gavin, Jocelyn, Keegan, Blaine and Allison

Daughter in law: Nan Cantrell

Granddaughter in law: Lori Cantrell

Special family and friends: Kathy and James Brymer, Alton and Pearl Marcum, Dewayne Hutchings and wife Tammy, Bronson Lee, and RJ Lee who predeceased her in death

Sisters-in-law: Marion (Liz) Gooch, Anna Hillis and Loretta Rigsby

Graveside services will be conducted 3:00 PM on Sunday, March 1, 2026, at Spring Hill the Baptist Church of Christ. The family will receive friends after 2:00 PM Sunday at the church. Cody Holman will officiate.

Russell Gooch, Dewayne Hutchings,  Nick Cantrell, Gavin Cantrell, Darrell Hillis, and Rodney "Rod" Wallen will serve the family as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are grandchildren Jeffery Cantrell and John Dunn, great-grandchildren, Blaine, Keegan, Gavin, Cadence, Jocelyn, Allison, Emily and Audrey.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donation be made to the Spring Hill Cemetery, 300 Spring Hill Road, Walling, TN 38587-5137.
