Mrs. Melissa Susan Lance Cunningham, age 49 of the Johnson's Chapel Community passed away Saturday, May 24, 2014 at DeKalb Community Hospital.

Mrs. Cunningham was born December 29, 1964 in White County to Joann Winnett Lance and the late Luther William Lance. She loved to work in her garden. In addition to her father she is also preceded in death by son Eddie Shawn Seibers and brother Jimmy Lance.

Survivors include her husband Harold Gene Cunningham of Johnson's Chapel

Daughter: Cilicia Seibers of McMinnville

Two Step-sons; Kevin and Gene Cunningham both of Sparta

Grandchildren: Kadence Elkins and Gavin Seibers

Mother: Joanne Lance of Sparta

Sisters: Evelyn Lance, Sandra McCulley and husband Jimmy, Chrissy Seibers and husband Wally all of Sparta

Brother: Bill Lance of Crossville

Funeral services will be 1:00pm Wednesday, May 28, 2014 in the Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home with burial in Mt. Gilead Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4-8:00pm Tuesday at Hunter Funeral Home.
